The Board of Directors has appointed Dr. Suman Billa, Principal Secretary, (Industries & Norka), Govt. of Kerala, as Government Nominee Director with effect from 16.3.2022 pursuant to the communication from Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Govt. of India.
Dr Suman Billa is a senior IAS officer from 1996 batch. He is M Phil from Jawaharlal Nehru University and has been a British Chevening Gurukula Scholar at the London School of Economics. Prior to this assignment as Principal Secretary, (Industries & Norka), Govt. of Kerala, he was Director, Technical Cooperation & Silk Road at the United Nations World Tourism Organization in Madrid, Spain. He has also held the positions of Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, Secretary, Kerala Tourism, Commissioner, Commerc ial Taxes, Secretary, Food & Civil Supplies, District Collector, Palghat and Director, Kerala Tourism. He has also served as Private Secretary to the Ministers of State in the Ministries of External Affairs and Defence. Presently, he is also a Director on the Boards of Malabar Cements Ltd, Overseas Keralites Investments & Holdings Ltd, INKEL Ltd and Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. He is not related to any of the Directors in the Company. He is also not debarred from holding office of the Director by virtue of any order passed by SEBI or any other such authority. He does not hold any share in the Company.
