Mr. Vijay Deshwal steps down as CEO of Poonawalla Fincorp Limited

Mr. Vijay Deshwal, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Poonawalla Fincorp Limited has decided to take up the strategic role within the Cyrus Poonawalla Group where he will spearhead emerging investment opportunities. Consequently, he has stepped down as the CEO of the Company and ceases to be a Key Managerial Personnel of the Company from the close of business hours of 4 March 2022. The Board took note of the same and recorded its appreciation for the contribution made by Mr. Deshwal during his tenure as the Chief Executive Officer of the Company.

The Company continues to be on its path to achieve its stated objectives under dynamic leadership of Mr. Abhay Bhutada, Managing Director. Mr. Bhutada will continue to be responsible for both the operational as well as strategic matters of the organisation supported with a strong management team.

Shares of Poonawalla Fincorp Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 231.20 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 238.85. The total number of shares traded during the day was 171455 in over 3704 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 239.95 and intraday low of 230.00. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 40292276.00.
