Reliance Power appoints Dr. Thomas Mathew as Independent Director

Reliance Power Limited has approved the appointment of Dr. Thomas Mathew (DIN: 05203948) as an Independent Director of the Company for a term of five consecutive years commencing from February 26, 2022 subject to the approval of members of the Company.

Dr. Thomas Mathew holds a bachelor’s degree in arts from the University of Delhi and a bachelor’s degree in law from Campus Law Centre-II, Faculty of Law. He also holds a master’s degree in arts, a degree of master of philosophy, and a degree of doctor of philosophy from Jawaharlal Nehru University. He has experience of working with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Defence.

Shares of Reliance Power Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 13.01 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 12.88. The total number of shares traded during the day was 5171267 in over 5656 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 13.35 and intraday low of 12.70. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 67577755.00.
