Soma Textiles to raise US$17.2975 million through issue of 1.85 million GDRs

Soma Textiles & Industries Ltd has announced that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company will be held on October 20, 2006, inter alia, to consider the following:

1. Allotment of 1.85 million Global Depository Receipts (GDRs) representing underlying equity shares of Rs 10/- each, worth US$ 17.2975 million.

2. Any other relevant matter required in regard to the GDR issue.
