GAIL acquires 26% equity stake in ONGC Tripura Power Company Limited

GAIL and IL&FS Group successfully concluded the transaction wherein GAIL acquired equity stake of 26% held by IL&FS Energy Development Company Ltd (IEDCL) and IL&FS Financial Services Ltd (IFIN) in ONGC Tripura Power Company Limited (OTPC), which owns and operates a 726.6 MW gas-based combined cycle power plant in Palatana, Tripura.

Shares of GAIL (India) Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 132.75 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 131.40. The total number of shares traded during the day was 293741 in over 3167 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 134.15 and intraday low of 131.65. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 39035759.00.
