Shri S. L. Jain, assumed office as Managing Director & CEO of Indian Bank

Shri S. L. Jain assumed the office of Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of the Bank on 01.09.2021.

He is Post Graduate in Commerce with Professional Qualification of Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary and CAIIB. He has vast experience of more than 28 years in banking industry.

Prior to joining Indian Bank as MD & CEO, he was Executive Director of Bank of Baroda from 20.09.2018 to 31.08.2021. During his stint with Bank of Baroda, the allocated area of his responsibilities includes Corporate Banking, International Banking, Stress Asset Management, Human Resource, Finance & Accounts, Risk Management, Inspection, Compliance etc.

He started his career in banking by joining erstwhile Allahabad Bank in 1993 in Middle Management Grade/Scale-II and rose to the rank of General Manager. He has held the position of Chief Financial Officer, Chief Risk Officer, General ManagerIT and Field General Manger, Mumbai in erstwhile Allahabad Bank. During his stint in erstwhile Allahabad Bank, he worked in various capacities in Branches, Zonal Office, Field General Manager Office, Staff College and Head Office.

He had also worked in various industries for about six years before starting his career with erstwhile Allahabad Bank in 1993.

Shares of Indian Bank was last trading in BSE at Rs. 126.6 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 125. The total number of shares traded during the day was 137002 in over 3020 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 127.05 and intraday low of 124.75. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 17293354.
