Sri.k.T.Rama Rao formally inaugurates Pokarna's brand new quartz surface plant in Telangana

The brand new, state-of-the-art quartz surface manufacturing plant of Pokarna Engineered Stone Limited ("Pokarna") was formally inaugurated on 31 July 2021 by Sri.K.T.Rama Rao, Hon'ble Minister for IT, Industries, MA & UD, Govt. of Telangana in the presence of Smt.Sabitha Indra Reddy, Hon'ble Minister of Education, Govt. of Telangana, Sri. Errabeli Dayakar Rao, Hon'ble Minister for Panchayat Raj & Rural and Development and RWS, Govt. of Telangana, along with other representatives, vendor and supplier partners, and dealers of the Company.

Speaking on the inauguration, Gautam Chand Jain, Chairman & MD, Pokarna said, "Qur brand-new factory, manufactures quartz surfaces and commenced commercial production on 24 March, 2021. It is equipped with most advanced and worldwide patented Bretonstone technology from Italy and is spread over 160,000 square meters and has a built-up area of about 6 Lacs square feet. Equipped with several robots and other high level of process automation for supporting wide range of Industry 4.0 applications, this plant increases our installed capacity to 15 million square feet annually".

Commenting on the occasion, Paras Kumar Jain, CEO of Pokarna said, "With Pokarna's world-class manufacturing facility in Telangana, the engineered stone industry globally has a brand new, most sustainable, and highly automated quariz surface manufacturing facility. This unit incorporates the latest technological innovations of safety, environment, product designing, and industrial performance".

Shares of Pokarna Ltd. was last trading in BSE at Rs. 448.4 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 394.9. The total number of shares traded during the day was 68829 in over 3923 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 458.5 and intraday low of 396.85. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 30098616.
