NTPC Limited board approves fund raising proposal of up to Rs. 18,000 crore

The Board of Directors of NTPC Limited have, subject to the approval of the shareholders, approved issue of secured / unsecured, redeemable, taxable/tax-free, cumulative/non-cumulative, non-convertible debentures ("Bonds/NCDs") up to Rs.18,000 Crore in one or more tranches/series not exceeding 30 (thirty) , through private placement in domestic market during the period commencing from the date of passing of Special Resolution till completion of one year thereof or the date of next Annual General Meeting in the financial year 2022-23 whichever is earlier.

Shares of NTPC LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs. 118.2 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 116.75. The total number of shares traded during the day was 459394 in over 3760 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 119.9 and intraday low of 116.35. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 54533990.
