Unichem Laboratories Limited receives tentative approval for ANDA of Sitagliptin Tablets

Unichem Laboratories Limited has received Tentative Approval for ANDA of Sitagliptin Tablets USP, 25 mg, 50 mg, and 100 mg from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for a generic version of Januvia® (sitagliptin) tablets, 25 mg, 50 mg, and 100 mg, of Merck Sharpe and Dohme Corp (Merck).

Sitagliptin tablets are indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Product will be commercialized from Unichem's Goa Plant on receipt of full approval.

Shares of UNICHEM LABORATORIES LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.327.85 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 328.45. The total number of shares traded during the day was 2706 in over 279 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 333 and intraday low of 326.85. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 892651.
