EPIC Energy sets up Assembling Facility at Nerul

EPIC Energy Ltd has announced that the Company has set up its own Assembling Facility at Nerul, Navi Mumbai, for the production of Energy Savers under the Company's brand "EPS 9010". The total capacity of the Assembling Facility is 1800 KVA per month, consisting of Energy Savers ranging from 10 KVA to 30 KVA per unit. The Company has already successfully assembled, tested and installed one unit of 30 KVA and two units of 15 KVA each in the Navi Mumbai and Thane areas.

With this, the Company has internalized the required technology, by building its own engineering capabilities. The Company will have its own range of Energy Saving products which will be used to complete projects in the Government as well as Private Sector. This will considerably reduce input costs, since till now these units were being outsourced to third party vendors. The in-house Assembling Facility will lead to a Cost Reduction of about 25 percent of the cost per KVA.

The Company is in the process of patenting those products. The Company is also in the process of getting ISO 9001:2000 Certification for the Assembling Facility.
