Tata Steel BSL reports highest ever annual sales volumes in FY21

Tata Steel BSL Limited has achieved highest ever quarterly crude steel production of 1.18 mn tons in registering a growth of 6% QoQ and 5% YoY; FY21 production was lower by 9% YoY primarily due to disruption caused by COVID19 pandemic in 1HFY21.

4QFY21 sales volumes increased by 4% QoQ and 22% YoY to 1.19 mn tons, driven by higher production and improved market conditions. Tata Steel BSL achieved highest ever annual sales volumes at 4.31 mn tons with 4% YoY growth despite COVID-19 pandemic induced disruption. The Company increased its domestic deliveries by 6% QoQ to 1,006 thousand tons and reduced exports from 18% in 3QFY21 to 16% in 4QFY21.

The production during FY21 was at 4.085 MTPA, 9% lower compared to 4.465 MTPA in FY20. Whereas, the sales in FY21 was higher at 4.313 MTPA as against 4.139 MTPA in FY20.

Tata Steel BSL continues to closely monitor the resurgence of COVID-19 cases and take appropriate actions in line with the directions issued by the regulatory authorities keeping in view the health and safety of its employees and the community and the interests of its customers and other stakeholders.

The Company remains focused on aggressively managing costs and cashflows while pursuing deleveraging.

Shares of Tata Steel Bsl Ltd was last trading in BSE at Rs.55.55 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 55.7. The total number of shares traded during the day was 1158484 in over 2332 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 56.85 and intraday low of 55.1. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 64824322.
