Dish TV India Ltd receives in principle approval for license to provide DTH service for 20 years

Dish TV India Ltd has received in principle approval of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for grant of provisional license for providing Direct-To-Home (DTH) broadcasting service in India with effect from April 1, 2021.

The In-Principle approval of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for grant of provisional license with effect from April 1, 2021 is on the following term and conditions:

- Company shall enter into an Agreement with MIB, Government of India, containing terms and conditions of the 'Guidelines for obtaining license for providing Direct to Home (DTH) Broadcasting services in India', as amended upto 30.12.2020.

- Company shall obtain and provide to MIB the other necessary clearances as envisaged under the DTH guidelines.

- Company shall provide the Bank Guarantee in terms of the DTH Guidelines.

The period for which license is valid - 20 years with effect from April 1, 2021, upon completion of required formalities by the Company.

Shares of DISH TV INDIA LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.9.23 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 9.34. The total number of shares traded during the day was 550643 in over 2690 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 9.4 and intraday low of 9.16. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 5090554.
