Powergrid acquires project SPV BBTL

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, (Powergrid) pursuant to its selection as the successful bidder under Tariff based competitive bidding, has on 25.03.2021 acquired Bikaner-II Bhiwadi Transco Limited (BBTL), the Project SPV to establish Transmission System Strengthening Scheme for Evacuation of Power from Solar Energy Zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase-II Part-F, on build, own, operate and maintain (BOOM) basis from the Bid Process Coordinator - PFC Consulting Limited.

The Transmission system comprises establishment of a new 400kV Switching Substation, STATCOM, and substation extension works in Rajasthan and also comprises 400kV DIC Transmission lines which traverse in Rajasthan and Haryana. The transmission system is an Inter State Transmission System Project and is to be completed in 18 months.

Shares of POWER GRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.216.65 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 221.3. The total number of shares traded during the day was 447858 in over 3716 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 223.3 and intraday low of 215.35. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 97888062.
