NHPC Ltd board approves JV formation for 850 MW Ratle Hydroelectric Project

The Board of Directors of NHPC Limited in its meeting held on Sunday, March 21, 2021 has approved the proposal regarding formation of a Joint Venture (JV) Company for implementation of Ratle Hydroelectric Project (850 MW) in the Chenab River Basin in UT of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Board has also accorded its investment approval to contribute initial equity of Rs.51 Crore by NHPC Limited in the JV Company, to be promoted jointly by NHPC (51%) and JKSPDCL (49%).

Shares of NHPC LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.24 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 24.15. The total number of shares traded during the day was 188487 in over 470 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 24.5 and intraday low of 23.8. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 4524171.
