The Ramco Cements Ltd updates on Waste Heat Recovery Plants

The Ramco Cements Ltd in its Jayanthipuram Plant, had plans to install 27 MW of Waste Heat Recovery Plants in all the three lines of clinker manufacturing, including the proposed Third Line, which is nearing completion.

The Phase I of the Waste Heat Recovery Plant of 9 MW capacity was commissioned in September 2020 and is producing at its full capacity. The Phase II of 9 MW capacity has been completed and commissioned on 28th February, 2021. The Phase III of 9 MW is scheduled to be commissioned, after commissioning of the Line III of the clinkerisation plant.

With the commissioning of Phase II of Waste Heat Recovery Plant, 60% of the existing power requirement upto clinkerisation will be met from Waste Heat Recovery P6nts, an environment friendly source of power. Besides reducing the power cost significantly, our investment in Waste Heat Recovery Plants, demonstrates our commitment towards Environmental, Social and Governance initiatives.

The project cost for all the 3 phases of waste heat recovery plants is Rs.220 crores. With the commissioning of Phase I & II, we have reduced around 15 MW of power which was supplied from thermal power plant.

Shares of The Ramco Cements Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs.980.3 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 974.15. The total number of shares traded during the day was 32701 in over 611 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 988.15 and intraday low of 968.7. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 32082213.
