3i Infotech Ltd on October 12, 2006, has announced the launch of Orion@Apparel a suite of software products to address the technology and automation needs of India booming apparel industry.
Launched at Tirupur, Asia’s largest apparel hub, Orion@Apparel will help garment manufacturers, exporters, and buying houses to automate, measure and enhance the entire supply chain in real time. The suite comprises of:
- Orion Operator Efficiency Monitoring System: Operator efficiency control, skill matrix, effective production planning
- Orion Product Tracking System: Supply chain visibility
- Orion Quality Audit: Streamlines the process, and warehouse audits
- Orion Line Planning: Forecasts and compares plans
- Gerber WebPDM: Product data management, product development tracking tool, collect and publish accurate and updated product specifications, track project milestones and events.
By implementing this end-to-end system, an apparel manufacturer will be able to integrate his entire operation while providing management with online, real-time access to all processes at the click of a mouse. Additionally, they will be able to identify lapses in the supply chain, determine their causes and fix these through the system. The software is also capable of facilitating pictorial representations of the functional pipeline thus making for an interactive user interface. The Company will introduce this product to its customers on October 12, 2006 at the Hotel Velan, Tirupur.
