NTPC declares COD of Unit-2 of 660MW Meja Thermal Power Station

Based on achievement of approved norms and necessary approvals, Unit-2 of 660 MW capacity of Meja Thermal Power Station of Meja Urja Nigam (P) Limited (MUNPL) (a joint venture of NTPC Limited & UPRVUN Limited) is declared on commercial operation w.e.f. 00:00 hrs. of 31.01.2021.

With this, the total commercial capacity of MUNPL and NTPC group will become 1320 MW and 63925 MW respectively.

Shares of NTPC LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.91.5 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 91.3. The total number of shares traded during the day was 851908 in over 2981 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 92.6 and intraday low of 90.4. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 77768719.
