Unichem Laboratories Limited receives ANDA approval for Zonisamide Capsules

Unichem Laboratories Limited has received ANDA approval for its Zonisamide Capsules, USP 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg from the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to market a generic version of Zonegran® (Zonisamide) Capsules of Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc.

Zonisamide Capsules are indicated as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial seizures in adults with epilepsy. The product will be commercialized from Unichem's Goa Plant.

Shares of UNICHEM LABORATORIES LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.294.35 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 292.4. The total number of shares traded during the day was 7501 in over 368 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 295.1 and intraday low of 288.9. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 2195850.
