MPCB issues closure notice to Bajaj Healthcare Limited's plant

The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board ("MPCB") has issued a notice directing the closure of operations at our factory premises situated at Plot No. N -178, MIDC, Tarapur, Boisar - 401 506 for alleged violation of the provisions of Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Air (Prevention and Control Pollution), Act, 1981 and the Rules made thereunder.

The company said that the operations at the facilities of the Company have at all times been carried out in compliance with the applicable laws and the Company is committed to comply with all applicable laws to operate all the facilities in environment friendly manner. Accordingly, the Company is taking steps to provide a suitable response to the said notice.

Shares of Bajaj Healthcare Ltd was last trading in BSE at Rs.505 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 523.75. The total number of shares traded during the day was 94455 in over 2688 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 535 and intraday low of 482.55. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 47200726.
