Tata Consultancy Services, (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) a leading global IT services, consulting, and business solutions organization, has won the award for the Best Patents Portfolio in the Large Enterprises (Information and Communications Technology and Services) category at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Industrial Intellectual Property (IP) Awards 2020. This is the fourth consecutive year that TCS has won this award.
The CII Industrial Intellectual Property Awards recognize organizations that foster a culture of IP and its commercialization, bring the achievements of enterprises into the public domain, help set up linkages with academic and research institutions in India and abroad, inform the Government about IP-driven enterprisesto engage with in policy making exercises. The jury for these awards was chaired by eminent scientist, Dr Raghunath Anand Mashelkar, and consisted of leading academicians, consultants and experts with established credentials in the field of IPR from India.

TCS has filed 5,500 patent applications and has been granted 1,593 patents, as of September 30, 2020.
