Harrisons Malayalam sends Notice of Postal Ballot to shareholders on sale of Kaliyar Estate

Harrisons Malayalam Ltd has announced that the members of the Company will consider to approve, by way of Postal Ballot, the ordinary resolution, to sell / transfer or otherwise dispose off as a going concern the Kaliyar Estate (Rubber) of the Company, admeasuring approximately 603 hectares of land situated on Kodikulam Village, Thodupuzha Taluk, Idukki District, Kerala State, comprising the movable and immovable properties, other assets, rights and interest therein for a consideration of Rs 53,00,00,000/- on the terms and conditions contained in the Agreement for Sales dated September 22, 2006, executed for this purpose and the Board is authorized to do all such act, deeds, matters and things as may be necessary, incidental or ancillary to the sale of the Kaliyar Estate (Rubber) and to implement this resolution, subject to necessary provisions & approvals.

The Board in its meeting held on September 22, 2006, has appointed Mr. P Sivakumar, M Com, FICWA, FCS, Company Secretary in Practice, as Scrutinizer for conducting the Postal Ballot process in a fair & transparent manner.

The Postal Ballot forms duly completed should reach the Scrutinizer on or before November 08, 2006. The result of the Postal Ballot will be announced on November 10, 2006.
