NHB imposes fine of Rs. 1.5 lakhs on HDFC

NHB has vide its letter dated September 29, 2020 imposed a monetary penalty of Rs. 1,50,000 plus GST on Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (HDFC) for non-compliance with two provisions of the Housing Finance Companies (NHB) Directions, 2010 during the financial year 2018-19.

The penalty has been imposed in exercise of powers vested under Section 52(A) of the National Housing Bank Act, 1987.

Shares of HOUSING DEVELOPMENT FINANCE CORP.LTD. was last trading in BSE at Rs.1739.3 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1713.2. The total number of shares traded during the day was 782813 in over 6722 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1744 and intraday low of 1702.85. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 1341346277.
