"Markets closed in the green today, on the back of positive global cues with Nifty ending the day @ 11521, up 81 points. Financials and Pharma held onto the gains, being the key drivers for today's upmove. Advances outnumbered declines by almost 2:1, again indicating a broad-based rally. Amongst Nifty Top 3 gainers, were Indusind, Cipla and UPL, whereas Titan, Maruti and HDFC Life were amongst the Top 3 Nifty Losers. India VIX, the volatility index cooled off marginally to 20.59, indicating investor comfort. Overall, Nifty continues to trade sideways, with 11,600 on the upside and 11,200 on the downside, acting as a tight range for the Index."

"Indian Indices closed in green, Sensex and Nifty closed up by 288 points (0.74%) and 82 points (0.71%) respectively. Like yesterday, today also Nifty Midcap 100 (up 1.09%) and Nifty Smallcap 100 (up 1.53%) outperformed Nifty, although outperformance has narrowed down. Nifty IT (up 0.63%) continued touching new life time high. Nifty Bank was in action, rallying by 1.65%, was the best performing among key indices. Top gainers of the Nifty were IndusInd Bank (3.95%), Cipla (2.89%) and UPL (2.67%). Top losers of the Nifty were Titan (1.13%), Maruti Suzuki (1.07%) and HDFC Life (0.88%). Global cues were positive as Nasdaq Futures and Dow Futures, Nasdaq Futures and FTSE were up by 0.66%, 0.96% and 0.81% respectively."
