AGC Networks Limited inducts Ms. Neeha Nagpal and Mr. Anshuman Ruia to its board

The Board of Directors ("the Board") of AGC Networks Limited ("the Company") at its meeting held today i.e. September 10, 2020, has, considered and approved the appointment of Ms. Neeha Nagpal (DIN:08842400) as an Independent Additional Director on the Board of the Company and appointment of Mr. Anshuman Ruia (DIN:00008501) as a Non-Executive Additional Director on the Board of the Company.

Ms Neeha Nagpal, is a graduate from the University of Warwick, England, where she studied BA [Hons] Law and Business Studies. From there she went on to do her LL.M in International Economic Law at the University of Warwick itself. Neeha has a Diploma in the Law of Private Equity Investment in India from the online learning platform NotJustLEx. Being enrolled as a Lawyer in India for over a decade now, Neeha has vast commercial- law and litigation experience at the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, National Company Law Tribunal, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, Competition Commission of India.

Neeha has also advised Clients in transactions relating to re-structuring of Companies and Media/TV show productions. She has worked on several International Commercial Arbitrations representing Telecom Companies. Neeha also represented various Telecom players as well as Coal companies, in the 2G cancellation and Coal block de-allocation case before the Supreme Court of India.

Neeha was a part of the team of Lawyers who worked on the challenge to homosexuality laws in India before the Supreme Court, which led to the decriminalisation of homosexuality in India. She continues to actively focus on commercial law practice with a focus on white-collar crimes and represents various HNI[s] and erstwhile promoters of large companies in matters pertaining to PMLA, SFIO, CBI. She has represented various promoter[s]/companies in matters pertaining to the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code.

Neeha was awarded the Forbes 'Tycoons of Tomorrow' Award in 2018.

Anshuman Ruia is part of the second generation of the Ruia family that founded Essar. Essar was founded in 1969 by his father, Shashi Ruia, and uncle, Ravi Ruia.

Anshuman is known for his financial expertise and project execution skills that have been invaluable in Essar's value creation journey. He was involved in the construction of the 20 million tons Essar Oil refinery in Vadinar, which is one of India's most advanced refineries. The refinery was recently acquired by Rosneft and the Trafigura-UCP consortium following a landmark $12.9 billion transaction that was also the largest FDI in India's Energy sector. Additionally, Anshuman led the construction of Essar's coalbased and gas-based power plants in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha. A strong believer in adopting a modular approach in project management, he has ensured that these assets of national importance were completed within committed timelines.

Anshuman has always been a trenchant advocate for business turnaround and growth by taking bold decisions. He was instrumental in overseeing Aegis, Essar's erstwhile BPO business, which expanded more than tenfold within a short span of time. In 2014 and 2017, the Aegis business was monetised in two tranches at a value that was almost 20 times the amount invested in the business. He was also responsible for the Power business' entry into the transmission segment.

Currently, Anshuman is leading Essar's investment in asset-light, new age businesses in the technology and fintech domains. He is also involved in the Ports business where he is driving higher efficiencies and developing an international footprint.

Anshuman's deep knowledge of finance and corporate structure has earned him the respect of his peers. He is a member of the YPO (Young Presidents Organisation). He is married to Radhika, and has two sons, Yuvraj and Yudhishthir. Anshuman is also a passionate connoisseur of music and a keen table tennis player.

Shares of AGC Networks Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs.335.25 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 321.6. The total number of shares traded during the day was 3712 in over 148 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 340.05 and intraday low of 328.9. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 1245061.
