HDFC Bank announces 21% YoY growth in advances during Q1 FY2020-21

HDFC Bank's advances aggregated to approximately Rs. 10,045 billion as of June 30, 2020, a growth of around 21% as compared to Rs. 8,297 billion as of June 30, 2019 (Rs. 9,937 billion as of March 31, 2020).

The Bank's deposits aggregated to approximately Rs. 11,895 billion as of June 30, 2020, a growth of around 25% as compared to Rs. 9,546 billion as of June 30, 2019 (Rs. 11,475 billion as of March 31, 2020).

The Bank's CASA ratio stood at around 40% as of June 30, 2020, as compared to 39.7% as of June 30, 2019 and 42.2% as of March 31, 2020.

During the quarter ended June 30, 2020, the Bank purchased loans aggregating Rs. 13.76 billion through the direct assignment route under the home loan arrangement with Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited.

Shares of HDFC Bank Ltd was last trading in BSE at Rs.1074.2 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 1089.7. The total number of shares traded during the day was 454526 in over 18015 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 1100 and intraday low of 1069.8. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 490420364.
