IL&FS Investsmart clarifies on open offer announcement by e-Trade

With reference to the news item appearing in a leading Portal titled "E-trades makes open offer to acquire up to 20% in IL&FS Investmart at Rs 210/ share, e-trade held 7.04% in IL&FS", IL&FS Investsmart Ltd has clarified to BSE that E-trade on October 09, 2006 has made a Public Announcement for making an Open Offer to the shareholders of the Company to acquire 20% in the Company.
