Rs 100 crore each for three Institutions of Excellence

For the fourth year in succession, the Finance Minister, Shri P Chidambaram has proposed to make a special grant of Rs. 100 crore each to three institutions of excellence. While presenting the Budget proposals for the year 2008-09 in the Lok Sabha today, he informed that awards for the year 2008 go to Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri, Maharashtra; University of Mysore, Mysore; and Delhi University, Delhi.
