Tata Metaliks to enhance production capacity

Tata Metaliks Ltd has announced that the Company is going for relining of the 1st Blast Furnace at its Kharagpur unit which is expected to start on October 09, 2006. The estimated cost for such relining is likely to be Rs 17 crores and after completion of the said project, the enhanced production capacity of the furnace shall be 189,000/- tonnes (approx.) of hot metal/yr. The estimated duration of the relining work shall be 34 days.
