Franklin India Prima Plus declares Rs 6 dividend

The Franklin Templeton Asset Management Company has declared annual dividend in Franklin India Prima Plus (FIPP). It is one of the oldest equity funds in the country and has delivered consistent performance through the ups and downs of the stocks markets.

Over the last 5 years, it has delivered a CAGR of 51.24% against a 42.13% growth in the benchmark index (as of January 31st). It currently manages assets of about Rs.1776 crores for around 220,000 investors.

The fund has declared a dividend of Rs 6.00 per unit (tax-free).

The Record Date has been fixed as February 13, 2008 (Wednesday) and the ex-dividend NAV Date is February 15, 2008 (Friday). The Book Closure date is fixed as February 14, 2008 (Thursday).

Pursuant to payment of dividend, the NAV of the scheme would fall to the extent of dividend payout and statutory levy if any.
