Fire at BPL Engineering Bangalore office, Loss estimated at Rs.400 Lakhs

Bpl Engineering Ltd has informed that in a fire accident that occurred at the Registered Office of the Company, at Bangalore on September 16/17, 2006, plant and machinery, equipments, computers and furniture and fixtures of the value of approximately Rs.400/- Lakhs have been destroyed. Further, records maintained by the Accounts, Purchase, Sales and HR departments of the Company have been completely destroyed in the fire accident. The surveyors and loss adjusters are currently in the process of determining the extent and value of loss.
