AstraZeneca Pharma allots debentures

AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd has announced that the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on January 12, 2008, pursuant to and in terms of the Scheme of Arrangement sanctioned by the Hon'ble High Court of Karnataka, Bangalore, and the subsequent approval of the Reserve Bank of India, has allotted 2,50,00,000 8% secured fully paid up redeemable debentures of Rs 25/- each aggregating Rs 62,50,00,000/-, from the General Reserve of Company, as Bonus Debentures, redeemable at the end of 12 months from the date of allotment, in the ratio of 1:1 i.e. One Bonus Debenture for every existing ordinary shares held by the shareholders of the Company as on January 11, 2008, being the record date fixed for the said purpose.
