SRF buys back 16084 shares through Buy-Back Offer

JM Morgan Stanley Pvt Ltd ("Manager to the Offer"), on behalf of SRF Ltd has issued this Details of the Buyback, which is in continuation of, and should be read in conjunction with the Public Announcement ("PA") dated June 24, 2006. The Details are as under:

1. The total number of equity shares of Rs 10/- each brought back under the Buy-back is 16,084 shares. The Company had received total of 17591 Shares under the buyback out of which the purchases of 5769 shares in physical form delivery for 1502 shares was not received and 5 cumulative preference shares were wrongly sent in the offer.

2. The total amount invested in the buyback is Rs 3124934.12/-(inclusive of brokerage and taxes).

3. The price at which the shares were bought back was dependent on the price quoted on the BSE/NSE. The highest price at which the Shares were brought back was Rs 247.41 per share while the lowest price was Rs 171.85 per Share. The average price at which the shares were bought back was Rs 197.20 per shares.

4. The Company have not bought back from any single shareholders shares in excess of one per cent of total shares bought back in the physical segment. The prevailing stock exchange trading mechanism does not provide the identity of the seller in case of Shares bought back in the demit segment.
