Canara Bank to raise capital of Rs. 3000 crores

The Board of Directors of Canara Bank at its meeting held on March 21, 2016, has discussed the Agenda Item as mentioned in the cited letter and permitted the Bank to raise Capital of Rs. 3000 Crore through issue of BASEL-III Compliant Tier II Bonds by way of Private Placement at a Coupon Rate as decided by the Bond Committee of the Bank to support the asset growth and maintain comfortable level of CRAR.

Shares of CANARA BANK was last trading in BSE at Rs.192.95 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 190.1. The total number of shares traded during the day was 238732 in over 2715 trades.

The stock hit an intraday high of Rs. 193.75 and intraday low of 190.95. The net turnover during the day was Rs. 45960091.
