The Nest, the maternity centre at Fortis Hospitals, Banerghatta Road witnessed an unprecedented experience when twenty four expectant mothers walked the ramp at the hospital to commemorate International Women's Day. With a theme on 'Celebrating that special glow of motherhood', the fashion show proved to be a spectacular initiative where the mothers- to-be walked elegantly with all their beauty, charm and radiance.
Apart from the fashion show, the evening began with a couple dance where the would-be mothers and fathers danced gracefully to the melody played. The expectant mothers were introduced by the MC with a surprise AV (Audio-Visual) from their husbands. The participants also spoke about their expectations of motherhood eloquently.
Reeth Abraham, the renowned athlete from Bengaluru, who holds the achievement of winning a national championship within 10 months of giving birth, judged the participants. "I'm overwhelmed to be a part of this truly wonderful initiative which provides a platform for the mommies-to-be to exhibit their skills and talent. I'm happy to share that 'The Nest' is very close to my heart as this is where my baby was born too. And I congratulate the fraternity here for such an amazing initiative, as events like these will certainly create an atmosphere of ease and will have a positive impact on not just the mother but the baby as well." said Reeth Abraham.
