Tissot, famous Swiss watch brand, known for its spirit of innovation by tradition created a thrill of excitement when brand ambassador Deepika Padukone visited the Tissot Boutique at Connaught Place. On this occasion, Deepika launched one of their classic timepieces – Tissot Chemin des Tourelles.
Flaunting her new possession, Deepika said, "I am glad to be back at the Tissot boutique again. It brings back a lot of memories. It was one of the first Tissot boutiques I visited, nine years ago, at the beginning of my partnership with Tissot. So it definitely is a special place for me. Furthermore, it is an honour to be able to launch a product such as the Tissot Chemin des Tourelles collection, which takes its name from the street where the Tissot factory is located. It has history behind it, which I am sure will contribute to its success. It is also a watch that can be matched with formal and casual looks alike."
Priced between Rs 42,400 to Rs 65,000, the Tissot Chemin des Tourelles is a very special piece that encapsulates an important part of Tissot's history. It takes its name from the street in Le Locle, Switzerland, where the Tissot manufacture was established in 1907, and where the company can still be found today. The watch compliments the company's vast years of expertise with a contemporary design with an elegant case that comes in a variety of different finishes, including polished and brushed, perfectly demonstrating the technical know-how Tissot puts into every piece. The result is wonderfully luxurious, but still easily accessible thanks to the good value Tissot is still proud to offer.
It's the Swissness at the very heart of Tissot that makes the brand such a distinguished one. The + in the Tissot logo is the same as the Swiss flag, symbolising the quality and the reliability that watchmakers have proudly demonstrated since 1853. The innovative brand remains in its home in Le Locle in the Swiss Jura Mountains, keeping its Swiss identity at its core. Tissot watches are authentic and accessible, using special materials, advanced functionality and meticulous design detail to create pieces that are both precise and stylish. The high calibre of the brand has been repeatedly recognised, as in its illustrious history Tissot has been named Official Timekeeper and Partner of the NBA, FIBA, CBA, MotoGPTM, FIM World Superbike, AFL, RBS 6 Nations Rugby and the World Championships of cycling, fencing and ice hockey. Tissot, which sells its timepieces in more than 160 countries round the world, is a member of the Swatch Group, the world's largest watch producer and distributor of Swiss watches. As it continues to create pioneering creations, Tissot stands by its signature, "Innovators by Tradition." www.tissotwatches.com
