Education in Ireland, the national brand under the authority of the Minister for Education and Skills, responsible for the promotion of Irish Higher Education Institutions overseas, organised an education fair at The Oberoi, Bengaluru, today. It was a huge success as parents and students attended the fair to know the prospects & ROI these Irish institutes offer to the next generation of students.
Ireland has many benefits to offer the students, which were showcased by the Education in Ireland team at the fair. The students and their parents interacted closely with representatives of 11 Higher Education Irish Institutes (HEIs) receiving relevant information about the available courses, alumni's success stories as well as expected ROI on education via scholarships, job security and future graduate employment opportunities.
On this occasion Barry O'Driscoll-Senior Market Advisor, Enterprise Ireland explained the success of the fair saying, "Ireland has become an increasingly popular higher education destination for Indian students and the number of students enrolling is very positive. Ireland offers a balance of strong academic provision and a vibrant student life. Whether it is business, science or engineering, studying in Ireland can certainly be a passport to a successful career. Over 1000 multinationals have operations in Ireland and the visa stay back option is most valuable to Indian students".
Irish universities and institutes, besides the popular business and engineering programmes, also offer several unique and specialised courses like Culinary Arts, Cloud Computing, Bio-medicine, Data Analytics, which saw lot of traction from Indian students. Irish institutes are very diverse when it comes to providing a variety of courses that range from nursing to biomedicine, hotel management and information technology. We are looking forward to meet many more prospective students and families'enquiring about these courses." Mr. O'Driscoll further added.
There were discussions by experts on an array of interesting topics such as education excellence, teaching practices, innovative and creative culture, educational institutes-industry linkage through research and business collaborations, which helped the students to take informed choices for their career and future path. Students were also briefed on qualification recognition, application processes, visa process, culture and living in Ireland, tuition fees and available scholarships.
