Students explore the world of Ragas

The students of Trio World Academy experienced the melodies of the violin, tabla and the piano through the SaPa workshop conducted on 17th November at the school. SaPa is a unique syllabus that introduces students to music and presents performances to develop music appreciation and create a strong foundation. The artists of Norwegian musical troupe- Bansal Band visited the school as a part of the workshop. Band members Harpreet Bansal, Andreas Bratlie and Prochazka spoke to students about the symphonies musical instruments create.

During the hour long interactive session, the artists discussed the musical style developed by Bansal Band. The band plays music by Harpreet Bansa(Norwegian/Indian Violinist from Oslo) based on the raga tradition, arranged by Harpreet and the other members. The artists spoke to the students about the band's focus on playfulness and improvisation, and the inspiration it draws from the musicians´ diverse backgrounds.

Trio World Academy provides students opportunity to interact with international artists and musicians from different fields through such workshops. These workshops expose students to global music, and introduces international students to elements of Indian music. Through special workshops and interactive sessions with creative personalities from world over, the school encourages students to understand and explore their artistic potentials.
