O.P Jindal group announces launch of OPJEMS 2015 scholarships

O.P Jindal Group, a US $18 billion global business conglomerate, has announced the launch of its scholarship programme "OPJEMS 2015". The annual scholarship programme awards the top 100 students from India's 40 prestigious institutes from the management and engineering sphere. The scholarship will be open for registration on 7th August, 2015 onwards. O.P Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarships(OPJEMS) is aimed at promoting academic and leadership excellence and is awarded to meritorious students who have the potential to become leaders in entrepreneurial excellence and innovation. This scholarship programme is an inspiration from the vision and values of perseverance, humility, entrepreneurship of Shri. O.P Jindal, the founder of the O.P Jindal Group. All four group companies namely Jindal Saw Ltd., JSW group, Jindal Stainless Limited and Jindal Steel and Power jointly conduct and organise OPJEMS.

Over 500 students have been awarded with this coveted scholarship since its inception in the year 2007. The Scholarship programme is intended for Engineering and Management programs. For the Engineering segment, first three Toppers of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year based on the academic performance in the previous years (CGPA) of Metallurgical, Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering streams are eligible for the scholarships. For the managerial program first 10 toppers of 2nd year are eligible based on the academic performance in the first year of regular PGDM / MBA.

The scholarship programme is being organised with the assistance of People Metrics Pvt. Ltd, a leading assessment consulting firm, to execute the OPJEMS 2015 program with ease and efficiency.
