QLA, A Mordern European Style Eatery Is Now Open In Delhi-NCR

QLA is a modern European-style eatery, intimately tucked away behind Qutub Minar located in The Kila, with a fresh yet relaxed atmosphere and cutting edge yet natural appeal. The word Qla is a play on the word 'Kila', which in Hindi means a castle or fort. It thrives on high Indian hospitality standards, thus standing true to its name. Fine dine in its offering, Qla is the realization of a dream to provide a great dining experience in the city.

Qla offers its patrons a welcoming courtyard that houses long, informal wooden tables and benches that provide a highly convivial and social atmosphere for guests to interact. The interiors reflect minimalistic, international design sensibilities that are a refreshing change away from the flash and clutter of Delhi-NCR.

Qla creates stylish European food with French, Italian and Spanish influences, to complement a fabulous array of wines and cocktails. The entire menu is an abundance of vibrant innovative and classic flavors, with a focus on grilled imported meats, steaks, local seafood and social platters. Avant-garde cocktails combine intricate preparations, unique textures and balanced flavors. The restaurant will continue to evolve in its offering with seasonal menus, emphasis on using local produce and unique wine programs.

"Post completion of my graduation from IIT Kanpur in 1983, is when the seed of hospitality started to emerge in my mind. I discovered the insight into the domain of customer experience during my span with Apple and Philips. After 25 years I decided to give Delhi, QLA, a European-Style eatery with impeccable service and warmth as its core components," says Rajan Chopra, Entrepreneur and Managing Director of a 30 year old IT company. Ranjan also has a keen passion for music and plays the saxophone. He has built another platform called Zorba, a space where magical experiences touch the senses, spirit and soul. Zorba is about celebrating life.

QLA's warm interiors with classic café chairs and wood décor create an ideal getaway for the connoisseur of beauty and grace. Different genres of music and a perfect setting will create an alluring mood that lingers on in the mind. Tones of black, rustic golden and fern green have been tastefully used to create an ambience that's straight out of a European bistro. Modern ethnic upholstery with customized lamps provides the warmth so often associated with Indian hospitality.

Qla has Chef Sanjay Chowdhary on board as an Executive Chef, he carries over two decades of experience working with hotels to fine standalone restaurants and an International stint at a cruise liner where he was the key member of the kitchen brigade looking after a three Michelin star restaurant. His cuisine is the fruit of a study that goes beyond taste. He approaches ingredients with respect, researching them in depth, in order to understand their true essence and bring out the best in them. His dishes capture all of our senses; beginning with the most evocative of the five, our sense of smell.
