ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival attracts international footprint to Jaipur

Leading global travel search engine, Skyscanner, recorded an astounding increase of 833% in flight searches to Jaipur during January 2015, compared to searches over the same period last year. A key driver of this appears to be the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival – the world's largest free literary festival – that is taking place between 21st and 25th January, 2015.

The ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival has gone international this year, a hot spot destination for travellers, literary enthusiasts and authors from India and across the globe. The highest search volumes according to Skyscanner data for January 2015, when compared to January 2014, come from countries like the USA (+1520% year-on-year), the UAE (+810%), Australia (+554%), the UK (+516%), Germany (+323%), France (+314%), Russia (+195%), and Italy (+175%).

India too has given a collective cheer for Jaipur this year, with searches increasing for the Pink City by a considerable number compared to the same period last year. The festival seems to have garnered interest from all four corners of the country with cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Pune, Chennai, Goa and Kolkata searching for Jaipur in large numbers.
