Virat Kohli surpasses Sachin Tendulkar to take top spot on Twitter

Virat Kohli (@imVkohli) has become the most followed Indian sportsman on Twitter with a base of 4,870,190 fans, and has surpassed Sachin Tendulkar (@sachin_rt) who, until recently, held the top spot. Tendulkar, with 4,869,849 fans, is second on the list, followed by MS Dhoni (@msdhoni) at third place with 3,327,033 followers. Such is the dominance of cricket in India that nine of the top ten in the list of most followed sportsmen are cricketers. Sania Mirza is the sole exception at #7 on the list.
