XL Telecom Ltd has announced that the Company has received fresh orders valued at Rs 468 million (Rs 46.80 Crores) for the supply of 1,79,082 fixed wireless phones to the state owned carrier - Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd- BSNL. The Company has been focusing in Telecom for several years and is a leading supplier of CDMA Phones to Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL). This order represents 20% of their annual requirement of handsets and with this, the Company has successfully emerged one of the largest suppliers of the FWT handsets in the current financial year to BSNL having supplied more than 537 lakh handsets valued at Rs 1,482.70 million (Rs 148.27 Crores) already and with this current order execution, the supplies will exceed 716 lakh units to BSNL alone. Apart from this, the Company has executed advanced versions of the FWT handsets to reliance and Tata in this financial year.
Dinesh Kumar, Managing Director of the Company, says that the Company and its Technical Partner Axesstel are fully geared up to meet the delivery challenges posed by BSNL as well as being comfortably placed to execute any specialized product orders as required by the Companies valued customers (Reliance Infocomm and Tata Indicom) from time to time.
The stock closed the day at Rs.138.35, up by Rs.3.70 or 2.75%. The stock hit an intraday high of Rs.140 and low of Rs.132.55. The total traded quantity was 163969 compared to 2 week average of 60836.
