Marks & Spencer opens flagship store in Hyderabad

Marks & Spencer (M&S), the iconic British retailer, is continuing to grow its presence in South India with the official opening of its new flagship store in Hyderabad on October 9, 2014. M&S has also announced it will further open up two new stores in Hyderabad by December 2014. With the opening of three stores within the same financial year, Hyderabad will become one of the top priority markets in India.

Trading from 14,500 square feet, the new flagship store at Jubilee Hills offers customers an inspiring, international shopping experience, showcasing M&S's exceptional quality, stylish autumn collections across Menswear, Womenswear, Lingerie and Beauty.

Customers can choose from a range of stylish products that promise quality and comfort at the same time. The store would also offer innovative merchandise like easy to iron trousers in Powder Blue priced at Rs. 2799, Cotton Rich Quick Iron Shirts starting Rs. 1399 only to everyday suits and jackets priced at Rs. 3999 onwards for men.

In Womenswear, a fresh, sleek minimal feel dominates the tone of the Autumn 14 collection. Trend-led wearable fashion pieces including the bohemian Indigo Floral Kimono Top, the M&S Collection Flippy Skirt in aquamarine and wardrobe staples like the black M&S Collection Lace Yoke Velour Skater dress will be available at the store.

M&S Jubilee Hills also showcases a dedicated beauty offer of skincare, fragrance, bath and body product ranges like the Vintage Forget Me Not Moisturiser from the Floral Collection at Rs. 399 only, Body Butters in various fragrances like Aloe Vera, Mango, Shea Butter, Lime at Rs. 999 only. The men's portfolio offers the hugely popular Woodspice range of an aftershave, moisturizer and antiperspirants. Highlights include Pure skincare, made from 95% naturally derived ingredients, scientifically tested Formula Advanced skincare for effective, targeted results and the best-selling Florentyna fragrances.

Speaking from Hyderabad at the store's official opening celebrations, Venu Nair, Managing Director of Marks & Spencer Reliance India, said: "Growing our presence across South India is an important part of our ongoing strategy to build a leadership position in India. Hyderabad is an exciting city for Marks & Spencer and we're delighted to be extending our reach across the city with our new flagship store at Jubilee Hills today adding two further store openings by December 2014. This year, our footprint in Hyderabad will increase four-fold from 15,900 sq ft to about 60,000 sq ft.

M&S will open a 19,800 square feet store at Prestige Kukatpally shopping mall and a 6,000 square feet store at the GVK One shopping mall by December 2014.
