Ms. Sminu Jindal , Founder of Svayam and MD Jindal SAW – (Post reaction on Railway Budget 2014-2015)
"This is a growth oriented and futuristic budget. Hopefully this will bring in a sea change in Indian railways by being more passenger friendly. Announcing battery-operated cars to ferry the old and differently-abled at all major railway stations is an encouraging step. But a safe corridor to manage traffic (Passengers, trolley's) and to ply these battery operated cars for elderly and disabled between platforms needs to be developed. On the sidelines, the railway minister also announced measures for women safety at railway stations along with recruiting 4,000 more women RPF constables, who will inturn provide security to all ladies coaches. It is imperative that the above is implemented in an optimal manner."
