With this assessment, Virtusa now has four offices at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Colombo and Chennai operating at CMMI Level 5.
"We are very pleased to see that all four of our major advanced technology centers have been assessed with the prestigious CMMI Level 5 rating. Our focus on innovation excellence through repeatable process is a core part of our ethos, now embodied and validated through CMMI. We are delighted with the progress our teams have made on our CMMI journey and the downstream benefits of applying the highest standard of process excellence to deliver consistently high quality business outcomes for our clients," said Kris Canekeratne, Chairman and CEO of Virtusa.
The assessment which was independently conducted by KPMG India and accepted by the CMMI Institute, highlighted few strengths of Virtusa which include its Co-govern approach, V+ millennial platform, leaderboards & gamification, automated engineering quality assurance, personal excellence program at engineer level, agile global delivery process with strong automation, executive involvement in delivery and quality improvement. This milestone not only credits Virtusa's commitment towards process maturity but also its approach towards delivery excellence and service quality. This accreditation is imperative as more and more global customers including government customers require their software implementations to be of highest quality standards.
CMMI is a process improvement model used to improve a company's ability to manage project deliveries to guarantee predictable results. CMMI's process levels are regarded as the standard in the industry for evolutionary paths in software and systems development and management.
