Radikal Foods Bets On the Huge Potential in Asian-African Market

Radikal Foods Ltd, India's leading domestic and international player in the premium basmati rice sector participated at the first ever Asia-Africa Agribusiness Forum organized by FICCI, to tap the tremendous business opportunities between the two continents in the agriculture, agribusiness and food-processing sectors. President of India, Shri. Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated the Asia- Africa Agri Business Forum.

The three day event from 4th Feb to 6th Feb 2014, focused on contribution of agriculture to the economic growth of agrarian economies in Asia and Africa. The Forum provided a huge opportunity for various countries from Asia & Africa to strengthen cooperation and build new partnerships in the agriculture and food processing sector.

The Forum also witnessed participation of industry leaders, decision makers, Agric Ministers' and important stakeholders from Asia & Africa across the entire spectrum of agric and related sectors including inputs, farm machinery, processing, packaging etc to promote trade, investment and technology transfer. Mr. Siddharth Chaudhary, Managing Director, Radikal Foods Ltd was one of the speakers during the forum, where he spoke on one of the topic on Contract Farming in Asia & Africa.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Siddharth Chaudhary, Managing Director, Radikal Foods Ltd said "India shares a good relationship with African countries. Moreover, India as a global powerhouse will provide the technical support to vital agricultural institutes of Africa. We see huge potential in African countries with about 65% of the World's uncultivated arable land. It will be a giant leap for Asia-Africa both, paving the road for others to follow. He further added that with the first of its kind initiative and exchange of technical knowhow & resources along with the experience in the rice cultivating industry, both the countries will prosper and will set an example for the rest of the world to follow".

Within a span of 4 years Radikal Foods Ltd, expanded the export market and have increased the reach to 45 countries, including entire European Union and United States. The company has strong plans to seek investment opportunities in countries from Africa. During the three day conclave, Company also exhibited its entire product range. Delegates across various countries applauded and appreciated the wide range of Radikal Basmati Rice.
