Volatility Index fell by 3.38% - Microsec

Nifty took support at the 50DMA near 6170 and rose smartly on Friday to close higher by 1.74%. There was huge unwinding in Call options of strike 6200 and fresh writing was seen in 6200 Put options, indicating that the expiry could be between 6200 and 6300.

Nifty Call options of strike 6200 shed open interest by 39,088 lots while Nifty Put options of strike 6200 added 49,610 lots to open interest.

Nifty December Put Call ratio (OI) rose to 1.24 with the total open interest in Call options at 777,113 lots and that in Put options at 961,603 lots.

CESC Ltd, GMR Infrastructure, Mahindra & Mahindra, PFC Ltd, Reliance Industries, Siemens Ltd, Sun TV and Tata Global appear strong while Cipla Ltd, Titan Industries, Ranbaxy Laboratories and Adani Ports appear relatively weak.

Volatility Index fell by 3.38% from 16.58 to 16.02.
