Indian Equities settled on a flat note - Microsec

Indian equities settled on a flat note with positive bias on Monday led by capital goods, realty and metal stocks.

Nifty closed at 6204.95 up by 15.60 points or 0.25% over the previous day closing of 6189.35 after witnessing a low of 6163.30 and a high of 6218.95.Sensex closed at 20893.89 up by 11.00 points or 0.05% over the previous day closing of 20882.89.It touched an intraday low of 20768.99 and high of 20970.92.

The markets' breadth was positive. Out of 2594 stocks traded 1449 stocks advanced, 987 stocks declined and 158 stocks remained unchanged. In Sensex, Out of 30 stocks 21 stocks advanced and 09 stocks declined.

Among the sectors, BSE Capital Goods, BSE Realty and BSE Metal were the main gainers of the day which increased by 4.19%, 2.96% and 1.74% respectively.

In BSE Capital Goods sector Suzlon Energy, L&T and Punj Lloyd increased by 10.00%, 6.05% and 5.56% respectively. In BSE Realty sector DB Realty, DLF, and Indiabulls Real estate advanced by 6.47%, 5.60% and 4.02% respectively. In BSE Metal sector SAIL, JSW Steel and Hindalco Inds increased by 5.31%, 3.52% and 3.10% respectively.
