Ogaan Cancer Foundation invites all conscious individuals to pledge their support by participating in two unique initiatives - Wear Pink to Work Day and Pink Ribbon promotions this month.
SonamKapoor, the brand ambassador for the Ogaan Cancer Foundation,talking about the initiatives said, "It is my honor to be associated with Ogaan Cancer Foundation and play a part in spreading breast cancer awareness. Breast cancer seems to have become rampant in our society today. Detecting cancer early is the only way to fight and that requires awareness about the tests and a healthy lifestyle. I pledge to continue making a difference and create awareness about the cause".
This 18th October 2011, the Ogaan Cancer Foundation and the ELLE Breast Cancer Campaign kicks off their annual program 'Wear Pink to Work Day' (WPTWD)by once again inviting companies to go casual for a cause.The underlying concept behind the program is to encourageindividuals to wear a dash of pink, pledging their support towards breast cancer awareness.
WPTWD is currently in its third year and has witnessed immense admiration and created awareness about the cause with corporates like Tech Mahindra, Taj Hotels, JubiliantFoodworks, Hindustan Unilever and HSBC Bank.
Apart from this, a number of leading lifestyle companies such as Good Earth, Avirate, Allen Solly, Hard Rock Café, Debenhams, Jean Claude Biguine, Tara jewellers Indigo and Neel are offering a special Pink Ribbon inspired collectionor service with the aim of raising funds. A part of the proceeds will then go to the Ogaan Cancer Foundation.
