              Indian equities ended the choppy session higher on Tuesday led by sharp rally in realty, banking, capital goods and auto stocks. However, oil & gas and power declined.
Nifty closed at 5780.05 up by 44.75 points or 0.78% over the previous day closing of 5735.30 after witnessing a low of 5700.95 and a high of 5786.45. Sensex closed at 19517.15 up by 137.38 points or 0.71% over the previous day closing of 19379.77.It touched an intraday low of 19264.72 and high of 19532.91.
The markets' breadth was positive. Out of 2486 stocks traded 1320 stocks advanced, 1007 stocks declined and 135 stocks remained unchanged. In Sensex, Out of 30 stocks 16 stocks advanced and 14 stocks declined.
Among the sectors, BSE Realty , BSE Bankex and BSE Capital Goods were the main gainers of the day which increased by 2.69%, 2.67% and1.53% respectively.
In BSE Realty sector DLF, Indiabuls Real estate and Sobha Devp Trans increased by 6.58%,3.52% and 2.38% respectively. In BSE Bankex BoI, Indusind Bank, and Axis Bank advanced by 4.97% 3.89% and 3.62% respectively. In BSE Capital Goods sector Sadbhav Engr, BHEL and FAG Bearings increased by 6.52% 2.95% and 2.52% respectively.
